Introduction
Hello, my name is Heather Murray. I'm a 30 year old student and single mother of two great little boys. I am working towards a degree in social work. I have a passion for helping others and hope to make that into a career one day. I'm continually looking for different opportunities to serve my community, which has led to my participation in a variety of service projects. I hope to use my time at Salt Lake Community College for more than getting credits and a degree. It is important to me that I gain experience as a leader and civically engaged citizen, so that I can better myself and my community. Currently, I am working towards those goals through my work as the Pantry Coordinator for the Bruin Campus Cupboard, the pantry at SLCC that serves the students, and through my work as a student ambassador in the Student Leaders in Civic Engagement program. Outside of school I enjoy spending time hiking, biking and being active with my children, taking photographs, and spending time at church.
